2012 was an absolutely overwhelming year for me. So many big things happened, you know? A wedding, a pregnancy, a lot of work, and a lot of friends. This year also held a lot of frustration for me. Granted, many of the things that I get frustrated over are not things that I have any control over.
Regardless, the only real resolution I have for 2013 is to be happier. I'm going to actively work to change the things that I am unhappy about. Ultimately, that will lead to some pretty big changes. Thankfully, a lot of them will work perfectly with Eleanor's arrival. She is kind of kick starting all of this.
What else? I want to continue trying to be as healthy as I can. I've done a pretty good job while pregnant and hope to continue even after Eleanor is born. I want to be a good example for my daughter and I want to be an active presence in her life forever. I also hope to continue to find my voice and grow into my own. This year has been a definite step in the right direction but I don't think the process is over yet.
The thing I am most looking forward to in 2013 is meeting our little girl. In just ten weeks, I will be a mother. That's crazy and exciting and terrifying all at the same time. This year might just be more overwhelming than the last.
Happy New Year Everyone!
